How does the payment process work?

Three simple steps. Step 1: Listen to MP3 samples and add MP3s that you like to your basket, this will open in a new window and it will remain open until you checkout (if you accidentally shut the window simply click on the 'my basket' button to the top of the right hand column to review your basket contents). Step 2: Whilst viewing your basket select the 'checkout' option. The checkout process his handled by PayPal and you can pay using either a credit card, account transfer or PayPal balance. Do I need to register to purchase MP3s?

You do not need to register any details with ScamblerMusic.com in order to download MP3s. Payments are handled by PayPal and if you already have an account with them all you need to do is sign in to complete checkout. If you do not have a PayPal account you do not need to register, you only need to provide basic payment information to allow the transaction to take place (as you would do with any secure online order).

I live outside the UK, can I still buy Scambler MP3s?

Yes, you can securely purchase the latest Scambler MP3s in US Dollars ($) or Euros (€) from AJTunes.com. ScamblerMusic.com sells a certain number of exclusive Scambler MP3s, but the majority of Scambler MP3s can also be purchased from E-junkie and AJTunes.com, with a limited number also on Arkade. During promotional periods MP3s are also sold on eBay.

What is the cancellation policy?

All sales are final. You can empty your shopping basket or withdraw from completing the order process at any time during your visit to the site. Your contract with ScamblerMusic.com commences when you confirm your payment details and submit your order. You will not have a right to cancel your contract once payment has been made, so please ensure your basket contains the correct products when you confirm your order.

What is your pricing policy?

ScamblerMusic.com strives to offer competitively priced MP3s and, unless otherwise stated, all MP3s cost 49p each. Scambler is an independent musician and profits from this website are only used for the continued creation and promotion of new Scambler music. ScamblerMusic.com reserves the right to change prices for products offered at the MP3 download store and MP3 archives at any time, and does not provide price protection or refunds in the event of a price drop or promotional offering.

Are there any additional charges for MP3 downloads?

Not when purchasing within the UK. The standard price is 49p for each download and there are no additional charges such as shipping, tax or VAT. More information is available on purchasing MP3s from outside the UK, and you may view further information on the pricing policy.

I can't hear the MP3 samples, why not?

The Scambler MP3 samples are streamed using Adobe Flash (formerly Macromedia Flash). If you can't see the play and stop buttons and can't hear any music on the MP3 sample pages then you need to download and install the latest Flash player. Downloading Flash is completely secure and full instructions are provided on the Adobe website. Once installed, restart your browser, return to the download store and you will be able to listen to Scambler MP3 samples. If you can see the play and stop buttons but can't hear any music please check your volume settings and ensure that your browser is supported by this site.

When I add an MP3 to my basket nothing happens, why?

Clicking on the 'Add MP3 to basket', 'Buy' or 'my basket' link opens a new window that displays the contents of your basket and allows you to check out. The new window is not a pop-up, however some firewalls and browsers (such as Internet Explorer 6) stop the window from opening. If you experience this problem you need to alter your firewall or browser settings to temporarily allow pop-ups. Allowing pop-ups whilst using ScamblerMusic.com is completely safe. Adding an MP3 to my basket opens a window but nothing happens, why?

ScamblerMusic.com is integrated with PayPal and E-junkie; secure websites that provide instant payment and instant downloads respectively. When these three sites transfer data during busy periods there may be a slight pause before your basket contents are displayed. If a prolonged pause occurs please be patient, the basket should take no longer than 10-15 seconds to appear.

Adding an MP3 to my basket opens a new window with a new basket for each MP3, why?

This is a bug associated with certain versions of Internet Explorer 5 and 5.5. To solve the problem you can upgrade to a new version of Internet Explorer or an alternative browser such as Firefox or Netscape. If you do not wish to upgrade your browser you can still safely buy MP3s from Scambler using Internet Explorer 5 or 5.5 by purchasing MP3s one at a time.

How does the download process work?

All downloads are managed by E-junkie, a safe, secure digital download company integrated with PayPal. When you confirm your purchase details PayPal will present you with an order confirmation page containing a button stating 'complete order'. If you have purchased one MP3 clicking on the button will start your MP3 download. If you have purchased more than one MP3 PayPal will instantly redirect you to a download page containing links to all your MP3s. In addition to being able to instantly download your MP3s you will also receive an email confirming your purchase information from PayPal and one additional email for each MP3 purchased that will confirm that specific MP3s download link. You have 120 hours (5 days) in which to download your MP3s and if a problem occurs with the download you may attempt to download the MP3 a total of five times. Please note that download links are only provided for the purchaser of the MP3s; they are temporary and are not to be shared or published. All download activity is closely monitored and if excessive numbers of downloads are attempted (particularly from a range of different locations, computers or IP addresses) the download link will be cancelled and the page will expire.

Is music available in audio formats other than MP3?

Not currently, however, you can get in touch via the contact form and request that ScamblerMusic.com consider publishing music in your preferred audio file format. Requests will be reviewed from time to time. Should it become apparent that a significant number of users would like to download music in alternative format this will seriously be considered.
